Inktober 2018
Inktober is a month long internet challenge that aims to bring together the artist community by showcasing their abilities of traditional art, mixed media, and even digital art. Artists create images inspired by a 31-word prompt list and are encouraged to explore negative/positive space and balance in quick pieces or rendered illustrations. As a traditional artist, I found this challenge to be quite fitting since I have always held high respects for artists that could successfully balance negative and positive space in their work. I used inktober to push myself to explore the aesthetic of black and white art, however I am not afraid to add a splash of color every once in while to make a piece pop. This page contains some of my favorites from this year's challenge.
